Cheviot Surveys has been established to provide Solicitors, Estate Agents, Landlords and Property Owners a range of services arising from the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), as defined in the Housing and Building Acts passed by the Westminster and Holyrood Parliaments and the associated Regulations.
We offer a prompt and professional service for both Domestic and Commercial Energy Assessments. The area covered includes the Scottish Borders and the Berwick-upon-Tweed, Alnwick and Tynedale areas of Northumberland.
For Commercial buildings of less than 2,500M2 and Domestic Rentals an Energy Performance Certificate is required from 1st October 2008 in England & Wales, and from 4th January 2009 in Scotland.
In addition to Energy Assessments we can offer Home Condition Reports, either for inclusion in Home Information Packs or as stand alone surveys commissioned by potential buyers.
We have a particular interest are the older, traditional buildings which require careful inspection and interpretation of findings.
